Mariah Carey has once again set a new
record for the most Spotify streams in a single day,
achieving this milestone on Christmas Eve. Her iconic
holiday hit, "All I Want For Christmas Is You," was
played an astonishing 23,701,697 times, breaking her
previous record of 21,273,357 streams set on
Christmas Eve the previous year. This isn't the first
time Carey has achieved such a feat, as she also set a
record in 2020 with over 17.2 million streams of the
same song on Christmas Eve.

Carey's continuous record-breaking with "All I Want For
Christmas Is You" reinforces her unofficial title as the
"Queen of Christmas." Interestingly, this year, she
faced some competition from Brenda Lee, another
beloved Christmas artist. Lee's "Rockin' Around the
Christmas Tree" topped Billboard's Hot 100 chart for
one week during the holiday season, marking the first
time she has achieved the number one spot over Carey
since the latter began her reign with her popular
Christmas anthem.
