Spirit Airlines, renowned for its budget-friendly airfare, announced a major shift in its service offerings starting next month. The Florida-based airline is introducing new classes of service and travel packages designed to provide passengers with enhanced options and additional perks.
Ted Christie, Spirit’s president and CEO, emphasized the significance of these changes: “We’re unveiling a new era in Spirit’s history and taking low-fare travel to new heights with enhanced options that are unlike anything we’ve offered before. We listened to our Guests and are excited to deliver what they want: choices for an elevated experience that are affordable and provide unparalleled value.”New Travel OptionsThe new service tiers, available for booking from August 16 and in-flight starting August 27, include:
“Go Big” Tickets: This premium option features the most comfortable experience with Spirit’s “Big Front Seats,” which offer extra legroom and no middle seat. Benefits include one checked bag, one piece of cabin luggage, snacks and drinks (including alcoholic beverages), free Wi-Fi access, priority check-in, and boarding.“Go Comfy” Package: This option provides standard legroom with a blocked middle seat for added comfort. Passengers receive one free snack, one non-alcoholic beverage, one piece of cabin luggage, one checked item, and priority boarding.“Go Savvy” Fares: Includes either one carry-on bag or one checked bag for free, along with standard seat selection.“Go” Option: The most affordable package, this choice retains Spirit’s traditional model with additional fees for perks such as Wi-Fi, checked bags, snacks and beverages, and seat selection.
